What I Review:
I review romance. Any variety of romance will do, even if it’s just a subplot. Like a mystery where one of the characters winds up falling in love while solving a case. As long as love is in there somewhere and not too terribly hidden, I’ll read it and review it.
I prefer to receive PRC, or MOBI file types. PDF works well too. As long as I can load it on the Kindle I’m happy. If you are only able to mail a physical copy of the book, send me a message using the page and we’ll see what we can do.
Ratings:
Personally, I’m not a fan of the star system. However it’s pretty much standard among review sites so I roll with it. Five is the highest possible I’ll give. If I cannot give a book at least three stars, I won’t post the review. Not every book is for every reader. If I disliked the book that much, then it’s not for me and hopefully the next one will be. HOWEVER, just because one of my posts doesn’t have a review attached DOES NOT mean I would have given the book below three stars. Not all books I promote are offered as review, and sometimes I decline the review because I know it’s not my thing.
How To Request A Review:
If you (publisher, writer, agent, or someone like that) would like me to review your book, send me a message using the page. Please include as much of the information below as possible to help speed the review process up.
- Book Title
- Author
- Series Name & Number in series (if applicable)
- Publisher
- Release Date
- Genres (any main genres and subgenres you think are relevant to the book)
- Length
Contest Opportunities/Guest Posts/Extras:
I would love to help you get your name out there. Use the page to request an interview, guest post, contest spot, or some other type of blog event. Please note that these are separate from reviews. I can, and gladly will, do both for you. But you have to request both. The requests can be done together in one email if you’d like.
Timeline for Reviews:
Depending on the length of the book and my schedule, it could take me up to a month to get a review done. If you would like a review in a certain time frame, please include that in your review request. I’ll do my best to get it on time as long as the request is reasonable.
Compensation:
I’m not paid to review. I do receive many of the books I review for free. However, sometimes the books I review are the ones I purchased myself.
Everything Else:
I will ALWAYS post if I have any kind of relationship with the author. If I’m friends, met, know, hang out with, or anything like that. I want to be up front about those things so you can make an informed opinion of my reviews. While it seems stupid to say it, my reviews will always be professional. I review the content of the book, not the author, their life, their choices, or anything like that.
