Anthony ‘Grunge’ Hartmann always wanted a mate, he just never thought his mate would call the cops on him.
Cooper Mahran doesn’t make the same mistake twice, and for that reason, he’s learned to be suspicious of everyone, not trusting them until they’ve earned it. After all, he judged someone wrong before, and he got hurt because of it. Grunge has a lot to prove as far as Cooper’s concerned and he has no problems letting him know just how to do that.
I truly enjoyed this story. I liked Cooper and Grunge. As individuals they were both characters I enjoyed getting to know and with personalities that were unique and fascinating. Together they were so sweet and I adored the two of them as a couple. Cooper was a total sweetheart. He was cautious and I enjoyed seeing him slowly open up to Grunge. Grunge was a badass but also a bit of a tender heart too. I liked how he wooed Isaac and acknowledged Isaac’s past. Their gentle building of trust was beautiful to watch. I like the basis of this book and the world built as well. I really liked some of the side characters and want to see their stories now too. I’m eager to read more in this series now that I’ve got my taste of it in this book. Plus I hope to see more Isaac and Grunge in future books in the series.
