Blurb:
And then they lived happily ever after…
Sometimes Joshua Stone thinks he’s died and gone to heaven. How else can he explain Michael’s love for him? And now they’re living together… in a real relationship. This is the stuff of fairy tales, a love like other people take for granted.
Sure, they have their moments, what couple doesn’t? But a small doubt lingers in Joshua’s heart. Can this really be true? Can a gorgeous man like Michael really love someone like Joshua—the guy with cerebral palsy, who’s helpless without his walker or his tricycle to get him around?
Michael senses Joshua’s worries, but there’s nothing he can do to dispel them because that would mean revealing his secret—and he’s not ready for that. Their mutual secrets hang between them like time bombs waiting to explode. They might not survive the inevitable blast.

Review:
This was a really good sequel to Despite the Odds. I enjoyed seeing Joshua and Michael working to have a more solid relationship. The two of them still struggled with self esteem and self image problems. I adored watching them find their center and be truly happy together.
Michael’s problem with himself came to a head in this book. I was glad the plot line didn’t last overly long because it could have gotten dragged out and taken over the story in a way that wouldn’t have done it justice. I adored that he continued to be all about Joshua, protective of Joshua, and generally treated Joshua like a king, or a princess as the case may be. The way he loves Joshua wholly and completely was such a joy to read.
Joshua holds back so much more in this book compared to the previous. the things he has to deal with are complex though so understood why he didn’t want to open up as much. Some of his fears were laid to rest easily and others lingered and caused problems through until almost the end. When he was finally able to see how much Michael loved and supported him regardless of anything Joshua thought mattered was beautiful.
By the end of this story, you could tell these two are in for the long haul. They are solidly in love and finally are comfortable confiding in each other completely. Michael and Joshua are going to work to keep their relationship going and can overcome any new obstacles that they encounter.
