Molly Reviews: Delayed Gratification by Tamryn Eradani (Daniel and Ryan Book 1)

Blurb:
Daniel Brown is a man of routine. You might even call him a control freak. So when the new Director of Marketing, Ryan Cole, starts shaking up Daniel’s routine, Daniel doesn’t know how to react. He finds Ryan intriguing, infuriating and oh so attractive, but he doesn’t mix business with pleasure. As their games start to grow kinkier, dare Daniel give in to his desire to let Ryan top him?

Review:
Oh my word this was such a lovely short story. Daniel grabbed my attention and pulled me in from the first page. His self discipline was astounding. But you can tell it makes his indulgences that much sweeter and more appreciated. Ryan is sweet but you don’t get to see as much of him in this story. I’m fascinated to learn more about him. I enjoyed the little additions about Daniel’s job and how he views his clients. It brought an interesting dimension to the story and Daniel as a character. I really like Daniel and how buttoned up he is. It makes watching him come undone that much more exciting. I love how Ms. Eradani has the sex scene between them be more about Daniel’s willpower and resistance than actual sex. That kind of power exchange that’s completely mental is so damn sexy and so rare to find. I’m eager to read more with these two and by Ms. Eradani herself. I like her voice as an author. Plus I desperately want to see how a potential relationship between Daniel and Ryan will progress.

About Tamryn:
Tamryn studied English and Creative Writing in school but has been writing since she could first hold a pencil. Recently, she’s turned her focus towards writing erotica. She enjoys writing stories where sex comes first, then feelings, because doing things out of order can be fun.

Tamryn has spent the past few months writing the Daniel and Ryan series with a lovely view of mountains out her window, and she’s now searching for a new mountain range to serve as her backdrop as she begins her next project.
