Review and Giveaway: Unblocked by Marni Mann (Episode 5)

Derek Block needs to protect those he cares about.
Frankie Jordan fears the loss of those she loves.
Darkness drives them.
But could it drive them apart?
This is Episode Five, the final Episode in the Timber Towers Series.

This is the final episode in this serial and I had such high hopes and expectations for it. Sadly I was kind of disappointed in it. Frankie forgave Derek really easily and they never fully discuss the lies and problems they faced. They started to but things happened that kept them from finishing. But they never get back to it. Reed gave up fighting for Frankie with little effort. Sure, Frankie finally sat him down and gave him what for. But for claiming he still loves her he’s all “Ok sure Frankie, whatever you say”. Randy gets put in jail with no fuss either. There’s some posturing and more hijinx that leads up to it. But you don’t really get to see the long drawn out fight. I did love the ending and seeing Frankie and Derek get together fully and completely. They’re so in love! In the end it felt like all of the loose ends were just tied up too nicely and too neatly. I was expecting more suspense and drama like I’ve come to enjoy in this story.

About Marni:
Best-selling Author Marni Mann knew she was going to be a writer since middle school. While other girls her age were daydreaming about teenage pop stars, Mann was fantasizing about penning her first novel. A New Englander at heart, she now lives in Sarasota, Florida with her husband and their two dogs who subsequently have been characters in her books. When she’s not nose deep in her laptop working on her next novel, she’s scouring for chocolate, sipping wine, traveling to new locations, and devouring fabulous books.
