Review:
I was so excited to read this story. The first two books in this series were wonderful. Collin and Tanner were working towards  being together, and being open in their own time when they were ready. They had their bumps in the road of course, but there was so much hope for them. My hopes for this book were for both guys to grow together and also deal with the issues of coming out, and maybe some of his family to come around. However, I was disappointed in the story. Wendy didn’t seem genuine this time around in her support for Tanner and Collin and their relationship. It was great having Collin’s brother Sean come around in this story, however the “I love you but I can’t help because…” is overused. I’d like family members to fight harder to support each other. I got the reason it was used how it is in the story, but I was disappointed the story went that way when there was potential for growth in other ways if Tanner and Collin had teamed up with Sean to fight. I also understood why Collin ran like he did, but at the same time, how can they be secure in their future if Collin runs at the first sign of trouble? I’m glad Tanner went to him and called him on his actions.
Karen showed in the first two books that she is a wonderful author and I will continue to read her books. This one just didn’t live up to the potential that I thought it had.
