Review:
This story was completely fascinating! I loved that they created this whole society for angels with rules and structure and used common and not so common angel mythos. There’s so much set up for this series and I hope there are many books to come. The set up was done pretty effortlessly as well. I didn’t realize until the end of the story that I was like “Wait, I want his and his and his AND HIS story too!”. Uriel broke my heart with how he suffered the loss of Raziel. He shut down and barely existed for many years and when finally forced to face him, it was re-love at first sight. I thought Izar was a fascinating character with how he questioned everything but still had conviction and held moral ground. The love between Uri and Izar was absolutely beautiful and their happy ending was perfect. The mystery was an interesting twist. I figured out who did it pretty quickly, but not the why and how. Those were important parts to the mystery so it was still keeping me on the edge of my seat to find out what happened.

Uri snatched it from Michael, but didn’t bother reading it. He knew what it said. That sneaky archangel had just forced him to participatein a mission with Izar. He turned away, and a shadow caught his eye. A broad figure blocked the entrance. His heart hitched when herecognized the Protector’s uniform.
Uri crumpled the writ and let it fall to the floor. He placed a hand on a column for support and forced himself to remain still, centuriesof meditation aiding in steadying his expression. So many emotions cried out for attention…fear, anticipation, dread…and a morbid curiosity about the man Razi had become.
The Protector strode in and a spasm hit Uri’s heart. The male was exceptionally commanding, tall and broad with a face chiseled intoangular planes. Uri sniffed the feverish scent, immediately sensing the Protector’s unbridled emotions. That could be troublesome if it weren’t taken care of soon.
