Joe, an ex-detective and a popular Dom, wasn’t gay. Not one little bit. He told himself that all the time he fought the inexplicable attraction he had for the gorgeous young submissive, Adam. Yet when he learns a psychopath responsible for two murders has set his sights on Adam, and Adam disappears, it suddenly seemed far more important to tell him something else.
Joe realizes Adam has become more important to him than his next breath, but if he can’t track down the psycho that was torturing and murdering submissives, Joe won’t ever be able to tell Adam anything else again, it will be far too late.
If you haven’t read the first book in this series you should. However you don’t need to in order to enjoy this book. I truly enjoyed this story and didn’t expect who the bad guy wound up being. I had a few other guesses and boy was I wrong! I liked Adam and Joe dancing around each other, though I would have liked Joe to get his head out of his ass sooner. Adam broke my heart with his past. It was nice seeing into his a bit more so we can understand him and his actions better. The part where Adam is hurt shouldn’t have happened. Joe and Callum should have explained the situation long before Adam got hurt, there was even ample opportunity for it. Though I understand why it happened the way it did. It kind of had to. I hope there’s going to be more books in this series because I really like it. I’m curious about some of the other characters and their stories.
Four and a half
Victoria Sue has loved books for as long as she can remember. Books were always what pocket money went on and what usually Father Christmas brought. When she ran out of her kids’ adventure stories, she would go raid her Mom’s. By the age of eight she was devouring classics like Little Women, and fell in love with love stories.
She’s still in love with them. Any size, any shape, any creature —love is love, no matter what it says on the box.
In fact if they don’t fit very neatly into any box she loves them even more!
She has a very patient husband and three wonderful children. In 2010 in search of adventure they all moved from the UK to the US and are happily settled in Florida.
