Review:
I was apprehensive when I opened this book because I wasn’t a fan of the first in the series. I’m so very glad that I chose to read it. This book is beautiful! The history of the art and the artists and paintings mentioned makes my inner art nerd so happy. I know not all of the paintings mentioned were real, but some were. As someone that knows a tiny bit more than the average person about art, I absolutely loved being able to tell when facts are well researched. The story kept my interest from start to finish. Watching the relationship between Ranger and Landry build was perfect. They fit together so well. Ranger’s struggle with his feelings and Landry’s struggles with his double life. You don’t have to have read the first book to enjoy this one. Though if you’ve read it, and some of Patricia’s previous work, you’ll see some familiar faces. Now I’m super excited for the third book in the series.

I enjoyed the first book, but have to say that this one was better. The word building was excellent and even though I know nothing about art, I enjoyed finding out/reading about it. Looking forward to the next book.

So many people liked the first one which is why I went ahead and read this one. Glad that I did since it was so good. But I loved how you didn’t have to know about art to enjoy that part of the book. I’m just an art nerd so it was extra cool to me 😛
