Review: Shift In Time by Mercy Celeste (Out Of Time Book 1)

Blurb:
True love’s first kiss will not break a curse.

Everyone knows that. Even a Normal like Morgan Monstros knows that.
But Fane Llewellyn isn’t everyone. He’s like no one Morgan has ever met.

Small, fragile and fierce, Fane doesn’t remember who he is or where he came from. He remembers pain and loneliness. Decades of pain and loneliness. And Morgan Monstros. He could never forget Gan. Gan was his from the day he came to the island. And Fane would fight to the death to keep Morgan safe. Even if he has to fight the whole world to do it.

Take one powerless witch, a sassy Siamese familiar, a panther shifter with amnesia, a meddling wolf clan, and a coven of witches hell bent on war, swirl all together and you get the perfect spell for all out mayhem…..oh yeah and there’s chocolate cake too.

Warning: Some blood play due to the nature of the beast. And intense graphic violence to a chocolate cake.

Review:
I enjoyed this book so much. I love every book I’ve read by Mercy Celeste (which is most of the ones she has out) and was excited to read this book. Fane’s reactions to showers and baths after his change are both adorable and hysterical at the same time. They way Fane kept going back and forth with cat speak and human was a great indicator of his moods, plus it made Fane’s personality disconnect more obvious. I loved Fane and Morgan together. Morgan grew so much as the story unfolded. Morgan and Fane’s families are fabulous and add depth to the story. I’m curious about Falyn’s future and how he handles everything. I’m eager to read his story, and all of the future books in this series.

About Mercy:
I’ve had a life long love affair with romance and reading. After reading The Outsiders  by S.E. HInton I knew that I wanted to be a writer. I was in the 9th grade. I wrote my first book at the grand old age of 28. That unfortunate book hasn’t seen the light of day in 17 years

Author of 16 published works. Award winning– best selling seems a foreign term when applied to myself. I write both het and gay romance, the steamier the better.

Hi, my name is Mercy. Nice to meet you.
